Hey guys. We’ve decided we’ve been doing too much of the eye candy and a few sweet words wouldn’t be so bad to read, you know? So here goes; this is a recap of the amazing AfriSA picnic that happened last saturday on the green behind Kassar House. This will be extremely heartbreaking to read if you missed it. Ouch.
After half the population of AfriSA got lost venturing to other areas that were unfortunately not the venue of the picnic location, we all congregated behind Kassar House (the right location, guys) amidst tears of joy and light drumming and dancing. Githiora was quite the sight for sore eyes. The ladies flocked around him. Nana brought the most comfortable blanket ever, rumor has it that it was straight from Malawi, and for that we are eternally grateful.
The chatting began at full force, and everyone’s main concern was why we had only decided to bring chips to this lovely African picnic. Tensions rose for a brief second but were quickly calmed by new topics for gossip, especially about the budding romance happening at the far end of the lawn (between Squirrel and its beloved,Nut). Rali appeared on her majestic iron steed and was warmly welcomed.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the photoshoot that happened at random locations starring Michael. It was fun for all, and there was a free tutorial on how to strike a typical African pose. Keywords: nature and uneasy face (pictures will follow).
All in all, it was an amazing day and everyone fell in love all over again.
Love (brewed in the AFrican pot),
AfriSA
